Amazon is the largest e-commerce retailer in the USA. Many online shoppers search for all the products they need to buy solely on amazon. Amazon has proven to be a trusted source with fast shipping and great customer service.
So it comes as a disappointment to many shoppers when they find that kratom is not offered on amazon. Why? In this article we will explain exactly why kratom is not allowed on amazon, and other retail websites like Etsy, Ebay, and many more.
The main reason has to do with the card processing restrictions on kratom. If you buy kratom online, you’ll find that many kratom websites are unable to offer credit card payments. This is because Visa and Mastercard have a strict ban on the sale of kratom. Processing companies and the banks that approve the merchant accounts MUST abide by this policy, otherwise they are subject to heavy fines.
So, to make it simple, Amazon’s payment processor cannot allow for the sale of kratom. While you might find some people listing stuff on ebay or another website, it is only because the websites security measures aren’t detecting the listing.
It really does suck that these restrictions are in place. It makes it difficult for vendors to grow their business like they could with another product. Scaling the business and utilizing resources such as fulfillment centers is something most vendors are not able to do.
